April 17th 2014 CGFD Responded Mutual Aid to Little Falls

""""

Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the scene of a stubborn blaze, which ripped through the duplex wood-frame building on Pompton Avenue just over the township line in Little Falls. All residents had escaped the blaze, which was first reported around 3:45 p.m. The fire was declared under control about two hours later. The residence was severely charred and the wood roof was destroyed. At one point all Firefighters were ordered to get out of the burning home because it was feared that it would collapse around them. Flames and black, acrid smoke poured from the burning building.
