Cedar Grove Firefighters Responded to a building fire at 279 Rt.23. Upon arrival firefighters extinguished a fire on the second floor, searched, and removed several pets. No injuries were reported. The fire appears to be accidental. Verona, North Caldwell, and Montclair Fire Departments provided assistance.

Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to Linden Ave. residence in Montclair to assist Montclair Firefighters conduct a Trench Rescue. One victim was entrapped under a home heating oil tank that he was attempting to remove. The subject was extricated and transported to the hospital.
