CGFD Responds to Building Fire 1/5/2017

Cedar Grove Firefighter along with Cedar Grove Police and Ambulance and Rescue Squad responded to a structure fire on Woodmere Road. Firefighters extinguished the fire shortly after arrival, however there was extensive damage to the home. No injures were reported. The fire appears accidental, the cause of the fire has not been determined. Montclair, Verona North Caldwell, and Caldwell Fire Departments assisted at the scene. Essex Fells, Fairfield and West Caldwell Fire Departments provided coverage. Essex Fells responded to a motor vehicle crash.
