On June 24, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the scene of a fallen tree onto two vehicles with power wires down. Firefighters were able to safely assist one operator from his vehicle. PSE&G and DOT crews responded. The highway did remain closed while repairs were being made.
