5-1-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to reported truck fire. Upon arival they found the truck had lost it hydraulic oil causing a smoke condition.
CGFD Reponds to Traffic Control Box Fire
On 5-1-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the intersection of Route 23 and Montclair Avenue on the report of a fire inside the taffic control cabinet. Firefighter made entry into the cabinet and located a eletrical fire. NJ Dot and Public Service Electric responded.

On 03-02-2025 at 10am Cedar Grove Firefighters reponded to Robin Lane for a reported house fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly, there were no injuries reported, the cause is under investigation.

1-30-25 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to an apartment fire. Upon arrival, firefighters located fire in the attic space of the building. The fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported, the cause is under investigation. Assistance at the scene was provided by Verona and North Caldwell.

On 11-3-24 Cedar Grove Firefighters were called to the wooded area along Lopez Rd. To extinguish a brush fire. The fire was extinguished without incident.

On 10-24-24 Cedar Grove Firefighters were called to small mulch fire near a local business.
CGFD Responded Mutual Aid to Livingston Brush Fire
On 10-26-24 Cedar Grove Firefighters Responded Mutual Aid to Livingston at the scene of a 140 acre brush fire. Cedar Grove Firefighters assist New Jersey Forest Fire Units protecting structures.
CGFD Responds to fire on Holly Lane
On June 26, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to an activated fire alarm at a Holly Lane Building. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire on a 2nd floor deck. The fire was being controlled by the spinkler system. The fire was extinguised, check for extention were negative. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
CGFD Responds to Dryer Fire
On March 24th 2024 firefighters responded to a Yorkshire Dr. residence for a dryer fire. The fire was extinguished, prior to any extension to the structure, there was some smoke damage, no injuries were reported.
