March 14th 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to a Timber Rock Court residence on the report of a fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a broken gas pipe on the outside of the home on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, the gas was secured, no injuries were reported .
March 12th 2024 CGFD Members extinguished a dumpster fire in the Bradford Ave. Apartments parking lot.
On January 21st 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters assisted Fairfield Firefighters at the scene of a large comercial building fire.
On 12-25-2023 Cedar Grove Firefighters assisted North Caldwell Fire Firefighters at the scene of a structure fire.
On December 18, 2023, Cedar Grove Firefighters, assisted North Caldwell Fire Fighters at the scene of a house fire.
On 11-8-2023 at 5:47 AM Cedar Grove Firefighters were called to an Eileen Drive residence on a report of a fire. The residents had been sleeping and were woken by their detectors sounding and the home was filling with smoke. Upon arrival firefighters extinguished fire in a wall of the home. There was minor fire, smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported.
On September 29th 2023 Cedar Grove Firefighters assisted Caldwell Firefighters at the scene of a house fire.
On August 22nd 2023 at 0118 hours Cedar Grove Firefighters extinguished a reported stolen car burning in the Normal Ave Mills Reservation Parking Lot.
4-14-2023 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded mutual aid to East Orange to assist at the scene of a 4-alarm fire on Central Ave.
On 4-12-2023 at 1am Cedar Grove Firefighters responded as part of an Essex County Task Force to back fill the 16th Street Fire House in North Bergen. Cedar Grove provided coverage while North Hudson Firefighters battel two multi alarm blazes in Union City and Weehawken.
