The Cedar Grove Fire Department is the agency responsible for Fire and Emergency Rescue Service within the Township of Cedar Grove. The Fire Department is 100% Volunteer and has the responsibility of providing fire services to protect life and property. This is accomplished by fire prevention, extensive fire ground training, proper rescue procedures and effective fire fighting tactics.
In addition to fire fighting, the fire service has recently entered a larger realm of public service that includes incidents involving confined space operations, vehicle extrication, trench rescue and hazardous material incidents.
Cedar Grove’s Fire Department has nearly 90 members who are professionally trained and highly motivated, but there is always room for additional members.
The department takes care of all training costs and equipment needed to keep you safe. However, what is asked of you in return is your sincere commitment to putting in the time towards making a difference.
If you are interested in becoming a Cedar Grove Fire Fighter, you must be 16 years of age or older, and currently a Cedar Grove resident.
