CGFD Responds to Primary Electrical Wire Down
On 2-18-2026 Cedar Grove Firefighter responded to the area of Route 23 and Stevens Ave. on the report of a electrical wire down and fire. Firefighters stood by until the scene could be safely turned over to PSE&G personnel.
CGFD Responds Mutual Aid To Montclair
Cedar Grove Firefighter provided coverage while Montclair Firefighter battle a general alarm fire.
CGFD Monthly Drill
On 2–01–26 Cedar Grove Firefighters conducted their February monthly drill. Firefighters trained on orientated search, forcible entry and rapid intervention techniques.
New Chief Sworn In
On 2-3-2026 Alex Beauchamp was sworn in as Chief of the Department. Alex had previously been serving the last four years as Deputy Chief.
CGFD Responded Mutual Aid to Maplewood
Cedar Grove Firefights provided coverage for the South Essex Fire Department while South Essex Firefighters battled a multiple alarm fire.
