On July 23, 2024, Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to a car vs tractor-trailer crash on Ridge Road. One person was removed from the car and transported to an area hospital. Cedar Grove Police are investigating.

CGFD Responds to fire on Holly Lane
On June 26, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to an activated fire alarm at a Holly Lane Building. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire on a 2nd floor deck. The fire was being controlled by the spinkler system. The fire was extinguised, check for extention were negative. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
CGFD Responds to fallen tree, with people trapped.
On June 24, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the scene of a fallen tree onto two vehicles with power wires down. Firefighters were able to safely assist one operator from his vehicle. PSE&G and DOT crews responded. The highway did remain closed while repairs were being made.
