On June 26, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to an activated fire alarm at a Holly Lane Building. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire on a 2nd floor deck. The fire was being controlled by the spinkler system. The fire was extinguised, check for extention were negative. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
On June 24, 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the scene of a fallen tree onto two vehicles with power wires down. Firefighters were able to safely assist one operator from his vehicle. PSE&G and DOT crews responded. The highway did remain closed while repairs were being made.
On Thursday June 13th 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters provide coverage at the Clinton Ave. Newark Firehouse while Newark Firefighters battles two 2nd alarm fires.
June 2nd 2024 CGFD family and members enjoy the annual department picnic.
The township held its annual Jr. Firefighter Day. Kids had lots of fun playing in the water spraying hoses and practicing rescuing victims. There was also a dunk tank.

On April 25th 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to a multi vehicle crash involving a tracker trailer into a building. Cedar grove was assisted by Montclair, Verona and the USAR teams.
