The township held its annual Jr. Firefighter Day. Kids had lots of fun playing in the water spraying hoses and practicing rescuing victims. There was also a dunk tank.

April 4th 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters assisted Verona Firefighters as a F.A.S.T. Team at the scene of a suspicious fire inside Our Lady of Lake Church.
CGFD Responds to Dryer Fire
On March 24th 2024 firefighters responded to a Yorkshire Dr. residence for a dryer fire. The fire was extinguished, prior to any extension to the structure, there was some smoke damage, no injuries were reported.
CGFD Responds to Reported Structure Fire
March 14th 2024 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to a Timber Rock Court residence on the report of a fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a broken gas pipe on the outside of the home on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, the gas was secured, no injuries were reported .
