5-1-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to reported truck fire. Upon arival they found the truck had lost it hydraulic oil causing a smoke condition.

CGFD Reponds to Traffic Control Box Fire
On 5-1-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to the intersection of Route 23 and Montclair Avenue on the report of a fire inside the taffic control cabinet. Firefighter made entry into the cabinet and located a eletrical fire. NJ Dot and Public Service Electric responded.
Firefighter Evaluation Day
Cedar Grove Probationary Firefighters Zac Wiiliams and John Marotta completed over 200 hours of their intial fire training. Pitured below they are being tested at the Passaic County Public Safety Academy Evaluation Day. Both successfully completed the firefighter portion of the program. They now move on to the hazardous material operations portions. Congratulations !
CGFD Hosts Rope Operations Class
April 2025, this month 8 additional members will be trained to the operations level of rope rescue. The course instructor is Cory Keepers of Cedar Grove.

On 4-4–25 Police Fire and Ems responded to a motor vehicle crash. Two people were injured. One person was extricated and transported to a hospital.

CGFD Responds to Motor Vehicle Crash
On 3-10-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters assited police at the scene of a motorvehicle crash at the intersection of Ridge Road and East Bradford Ave.

On 03–07-2025 Cedar Grove Firefighters responded to Newark providing coverage while Newark Firefighters extinguished a general alarm fire.
