On 6-28-2025 Cedar Grove Police, Fire, and Montclair EMS responded to the wooded water shed property along Ridge Road on the report of a injured bicyclist. Police had located the injured person down a steep hillside. Firefighters, using ropes, packaged the person and brought him up the slope. He was transported to a area hospital.
On July 8th 2023 Cedar Grove Firefighter responded to the the area known as “Devils Hole” on the report of a drowning. Mutual aid was requested from the Bergen County Scuba Team. Lyndhurst and Wallington Fire Departments responded. A victim was quickly located, treated at the scene then transported to an area hospital. The subjects condition is unknown at this time.
